The Little Book of Gold just got a little bigger ...
After my experience these last two years leading City Club of Tacoma, some of the technological changes that are beginning to take hold in the nonprofit field, and questions I’ve gotten from readers, I’m happy to say that I am publishing a revised and expanded version of The Little Book of Gold.
The changes I’m making won’t make it too much longer — I still feel it’s important that the book be small and portable. This book is still what I originally set it out to be: a road-map, not an encyclopedia. If you are an Executive Director or fundraiser for a small nonprofit who wants to build a professional fundraising system, this is still the book for you.
I’ve made some small changes to the main text, but the most important change is that at the end of each chapter I’ve added some further thoughts on the topic. Sometimes they expand on a point made in the chapter, other times they present a competing idea, so that readers can get a better sense of their options. I try to think of it as a better and more complete version of the original book.
In addition to that, this second edition will be available only via Kindle. This allows me to keep the price as low as possible (just $9.99) and keep it widely distributed.
